Book Colombia Medical is the booking desk for a network of Colombian medical guides run by Scout Theory LLC. We publish research sites covering fertility, cosmetic surgery, dental work, hair restoration, vision correction and more — and this is where all of it converges when someone stops reading and decides to move.
Why this exists
Most people planning treatment abroad hit the same wall. The research is endless, the pricing is opaque, and every clinic website looks identical. Meanwhile the actual questions — is this surgeon licensed, what will this realistically cost, how long do I need to stay — go unanswered until you're already on a plane.
We built the guides to answer the research questions. We built this page to answer the practical ones.
What we are
We're patient-side. We don't own a clinic, we don't employ surgeons, and we don't take a cut of your procedure. Clinics compensate us for introductions, which means our incentive is to send them people who are genuinely ready — not to talk you into something.
That distinction matters. If a procedure isn't right for you, or if the timing is wrong, or if the answer is "get this done at home," we'd rather tell you that than book you.
What we're not
How we handle facts
Medical tourism content is full of statistics with no source attached. We hold ourselves to a few hard rules:
- Prices are ranges, always. Typical 2026 ranges for planning purposes. Never presented as a quote for your case.
- Credentials get described accurately. Joint Commission International accreditation applies at hospital level. We don't imply a dental clinic holds it because a hospital across town does.
- Verification is yours to do. Colombian practitioners appear in ReTHUS, the national health personnel registry. We'll hand you the name so you can check it yourself.
- No invented testimonials. No stock-photo patients with fabricated quotes. If you see a name on our sites, it's real or it isn't there.
- Context on the famous ranking. The World Health Organization ranked Colombia #1 in the Western Hemisphere and #22 globally in its 2000 report. It's a genuine and widely cited benchmark — and it's from 2000. We pair it with current, checkable credentials rather than presenting it as today's scorecard.
The bar we're matching
Colombia's better private facilities are genuinely modern — purpose-built, well-equipped, and staffed by specialists who trained at the same places their counterparts abroad did.
The gap between the best and the worst is wide, though. Filtering for the top end is the actual work, and it's the part we do before you ever get a name.
